The westcountry covers a large area and Dorset is the largest county in the westcountry. Truly a good place to explore the westcountry from. Take a cottage for a week in a central position in the county and you can travel all the wy down to cornwall in the west or up to Dorset or Somerset in the north. Or even make a day of it and travel all the way to the historic city of Bristol, stay overnight in a hotel and see Bath on your way back to your holiday cottage.
